Cheesesteak Sliders

Ingredients  

  • Package of Hawaiian slider buns
  • 1 lb shaved beef steak
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 pepper, sliced Peppers (green or red)
  • 1 package of mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • Salt & Pepper
  • 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce, add more to taste
  • 1/2 tbsp soy sauce, add more to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil & 2 tbsp butter, divided in half for sauteing veggies and steak
  • 4 tbsp mayo
  • Package of sliced American cheese
  • Package of sliced provolone cheese
  • 1 to 2 tbsp melted butter (for topping buns)
  • 1 tbsp everything but the bagel seasoning
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

Method 

  • Sauté onions, mushrooms, pepper, and garlic in butter and olive oil with salt and pepper to taste
  • Slice shaved beef into strips
  • Once veggies are translucent, remove from the pan
  • Add other half of butter and olive oil to the pan and place in shaved beef
  • Add in Worcestershire Sauce & Soy Sauce, tasting along
  • Once beef is cooked, add back pepper and onion mixture to the pan
  • Spread Mayo on inside top half of hamburger bun
  • In a glass pan, layer bottom hamburger bun, American cheese, steak & pepper mixture, provolone cheese, and top bun with Mayo on the inside
  • Mix together melted butter, everything but the bagel seasoning, garlic powder and onion powder
  • Drizzle butter mixture over top of buns
  • Cover tightly with foil and pop in a preheated oven at 425 degrees for about 10 minutes or until cheese is melted and gooey!
