Irresistible Funnel Cake Donuts

These Funnel Cake Donuts are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and dusted with powdered sugar—just like your favorite state fair treat! Easy to make and irresistibly delicious.

Ingredients  

  • 2 eggs room temperature
  • 1 cup milk room temperature
  • 1 cup water room temperature
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups flour
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • Avocado oil or Neutral-flavored oil for deep frying
  • 1/4 cup confectioners’ sugar for topping

Method 

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat eggs, milk, water, and vanilla until well combined.
  • Whisk in flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt until smooth.
  • Heat oil to 375°F in a deep skillet or fryer.
  • Using a ¼ cup measuring cup, drop batter into the hot oil. Avoid overcrowding the pan.
  • Fry for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown and crispy. Remove from oil and drain on a paper towel-lined plate.
  • Dust generously with powdered sugar and serve immediately.
