This Slow Cooker Apple Cider Donut Cake brings all the flavors of your favorite apple cider donuts into one warm, cozy dessert. Ingredients  

Cake

  • 1 (15 oz) box spiced cake mix
  • 1 cup apple cider
  • 1/2 cup cinnamon applesauce
  • 3 eggs

Topping

  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon

Method 

  • Grease the slow cooker insert.
  • In a large bowl, mix together the cake mix, apple cider, applesauce, and eggs until smooth. Pour the batter into the greased slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on LOW for 2 to 3 hours, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  • In a small bowl, stir together the sugar and cinnamon. Brush the top of the warm cake with melted butter, then sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  • Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream.
