Why You’ll Love These Fruity Rice Crispy Treats
The secret to these fruity rice crispy treats lies in the sweetened condensed milk. This key ingredient not only adds an incredible flavor but also keeps your treats nice and gooey while still maintaining that irresistible crunch. Plus, the fruity crispy rice cereal adds a fun burst of color and flavor that’ll brighten up any occasion!
I like to keep some mini marshmallows aside to mix in and top the treats, giving them a beautiful, soft texture that balances the crunchy cereal. Trust me, this little extra step makes them look amazing and taste even better!

Fruity Rice Crispy Treats – A Fun, Colorful Twist on the Classic!
Ingredients
- 11.5 ounces fruity crispy rice cereal
- 6 tbsp butter softened
- 16 ounces mini marshmallows
- 1/3 cup sweetened condensed milk
Method
- In a large bowl, pour in the box of fruity crispy rice cereal and set it aside.
- Add butter and all but 1 cup of the marshmallows to a large pot over medium heat. Continuously stirring until all the marshmallows and butter are melted together. Pour in sweetened condensed milk and stir until incorporated. This is the secret to keeping the treats gooey and delicious!
- Remove the marshmallow mixture from heat and pour it directly over the cereal in the large bowl. Gently fold the mixture to coat the cereal evenly. Stir in 3/4 cup of the remaining marshmallows. Next, spoon the mixture into a parchment-lined 9×9 baking pan. Use a clean measuring cup or a piece of parchment paper sprayed with cooking spray to gently press the mixture down, compacting it into the pan. Finally, top with the remaining 1/4 cup of marshmallows.
- Let the treats sit for at least an hour at room temperature to set, or refrigerate for about 30 minutes for faster results. Once set, cut into squares and store in an airtight container.
